LIFE Trust Team conducted a survey in January 2014 to understand problems prevailing in mangrove regions and among the people who live in the area.  Ten student volunteers took part in the survey.  The survey was conducted in and around Palayakayal Mangrove.   More survey will be conducted in near by areas before consolidating the results.

Life In Fine Environment Trust is also known as LIFE Trust.  Established in 2013 with its Head office at Tuticorin, LIFE Trust aims to create a conducive environment and to provide minimum living standards for all Life on Earth.  Focusing its working area in India, the trust address the welfare of Human and Animal welfare, minimum living standards for all Life on Earth, exploring in to the needs for livelihood support for human standard living, research and action for the conservation of natural resources and biodiversity, sustainable utilisation of natural resources, health care for human and other life and developing new technology to achieve the objectives of the trust through engineering and communication.  Some of the projects planned by the trust are: 

Research: biodiversity, medical and engineering
Training: people empowerment training and programmes, vocational
Counselling: for poor, comfortable living
Aid: education, health, social up lift meant, employment,
Education: for children, public and needy people; social, conservation and environmental issues

Awareness: health, welfare, sustainable utilization
